Finally got round to watching this, it was good. However, I would have preferred someone, anyone, more relevant to the subject matter than Rankin presenting it. I guess I may have been in the minority here though..

No, I tend to agree - I found his interviewing the weakest link of the programme, that's probably blasphemy I know but the rest of was v interesting.
Rankin was an uninspired choice to say the least!
I'll be watching it via iPlayer this weekend for sure. This programme in the same series also caught my eye "America on a Plate: The Story of the Diner" (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b017ss8x).
