Topic: Found film and Kodak Cresta

First time this ever happened to me, but I found a half exposed film inside my newly acquired Cresta.
The camera overall is so clean that I believe this film was the only one ever used... mybe it was bought just for the ocasion.

Quite hard to guess where they're from... the car might give us a clue.

It looks like they're picking some oysters...







So it was down to me to finish the film after all these years and it looks like my shots
were underexposed comparing to the found ones (and it looks like the weather on the beach was pretty bad at that time ...).





Since there's no settings on the camera and all the pictures were processed together I wonder why this could happen.
Does the image, once recorded on film stays better preserved than the unexposed film?

My Cresta came with a film it too, not sure much was on it though, will scan and see.  Can't be as impressive as those beach shots though.

Sapata old exposures fade over time.  I've finished a few partial rolls and found that the old pictures were very foggy compared to the fresh shots I had taken.  You found and took some nice shots.

Usually, film deteriorates much faster once exposed.
The original pictures were most probably exposed quite differently. The shutter speed must have changed with time. Also, because of Global Shading, the images probably received more exposure than yours.

Some great found film. The  beach shots are lovely and Miles, you parrot shot has a charm! We now know who to come to with parrot related issues  - I can see a disorderly queue forming as I speak

interesting! I really like the view shot with the verichrome pan text inprinted on the sky~

but considering old vs new exposures on old rolls.. my girlfriend recently found her old camera with colour film since five years ago or so and the shots taken then were good but the shots we finished the roll with looked like shot on very expired colour film(!)

Can't be a Fiat - I can't see any rust on it....!!
