Looks like Fuji is cutting a sh*t ton of film.

Bummer! SS is pretty nice film. I figure peel apart instant film will go in the next 3-5 years.

If this is true its a very strange announcement as three of the films mentioned Astia, Sensia and 160NC have been deleted for a year or so certainly in Europe. I'm sure Fuji issued deletion notice for Astia and probably the C and S version of their 160 to be replaced by a single NS version.
What I'm guessing has happened is that the last master rolls have been thawed and confectioned and they have decided based upon sales not to re-coat.
I know little about the SS mono films have they ever been sold outside Japan?

Yeah, bummer...I have some SS stashed, but need to get more if it's going away.

Not great news I suppose to hear of more film ranges being cut,
where is it going to end !?

but as in the article not many people are shooting reversal films so
obviously they are going to be chopped.

On the SS film - I have some rolls left and have read mixed reports
about it with someone stating it was a "student film".

Acros is by far a superoir film to the SS so I suppose they are just
thinning out a probably less popular film with the SS .

but on the other hand it looks like they are "re-launching" Fujifilm's Instax range of instant cameras and accompanying films" as per article below just seen on BJP. However they say they are "targeting 15-25 year old females" so I assume unless you fit into this category... bad luck?

If anyone in the States wants a last fling with 120 Astia, we have about 20 rolls in the fridge where I work.

It really is down to a hard core of E6 users. . . .

Well, much as I love Acros 100 and Neopan BW400CN I will be supporting the Ilford range of films from now on for B&W work.

I was impressed with the chap from Ilford on the latest Podcast and, although I'm not usually nationalistic in the least, Ilford film is made in my home county. In these days of austerity and introspection, I feel obliged to support those who support me - especially if it's a company that exists just down the road from where I was born.
