The Contraption 4: Darkroom software - minor change
« on: August 24, 2011, 09:15:04 PM »
Yep, it's back!
This time, I made a few minor changes to the program.
First, the libraries used are more recent which should help with a few of the installation woes.
Second, I've removed the wingdings font from the distribution. It was only useful to those who run the program through WINE (Linux/Mac OS).
And lastly, I've modified the chemical mixing calculator for our friends in the Commonwealth. I removed dilution ratios for gallons (who mixes these volumes anyways) and replaced it for Imperial Flow Ounces...

Here is the new files on my skydrive

And here are links to the previous articles in case someone's interested

as long as I have my metric system, I'm fine and dandy ;D

this reminds me though, I should keep looking for a cheap laptop to smack a red overhead paper on the screen and drag into the darkroom for use and abuse~

Metric is fine with almost everything... except following the instructions on Kodak packets!
They always end up with odd numbers that are hard to measure in metric and yet make nice round numbers in US Ounces.

Just for comparison, on HC-110, to make the stock solution you need to:
Empty the bottle and rinse it with 237ml, top off with 1.9 liters and mix...
Or, in US Ounces, use 8 Fl.Oz of water to rinse the bottle and top off with 64 Fl.Oz of water...

Well, I must say I don't do any of those for HC-110 but measuring small off volumes can be a pain.
