Hi Andrea, and Hi to everyone else on this wonderful forum,

I've been lurking in the background for a while getting a feel for this forum and have finally gotten round to posting.

Nice camera the chap in the Guardian has but hey - I bet it doesn't give as nice results as your latest piece of technology Andrea. How about posting a few here?

All the best
C

ps - Thanks for the inspiration for my new identity  ;)

Those Guardian shots are really nice. I was trying to work out what he was doing by taking the photo of the print, or is that just the form of reproduction?

Yep, that's what they do. Since they use regular photo paper, they have to produce a positive image. Photographing the original is the simplest way to do it.

That's an exquisite lunk of a camera.
The portraits are all exceptional and to think they posed for up to 2 minutes makes them all the more so.
The girls/young women look older than their years, and are all beautiful.

And welcome Mr. Leica Man!

Very cool.  Had seen examples before but didn't get to see any in Cuba where they are supposed to lurk.  Did see one in Madrid this year though.

They are stunning portraits.

Yes, welcome indeed Leica Man.
