OT: Rube Goldberg goes photographic
« on: July 12, 2011, 06:03:51 PM »
This is another of those wow moments!

For those who don't know what a Rube Goldberg contraption is, it's a machine that is designed to be as inefficient as possible. Useless steps are mandatory... so is doing something that is relatively pointless and trivial.

This one is entirely based in photography... with even a small hop in the lab. The goal... I'd be hard pressed to say though all those ads are a dead giveaway...

Anyways, enjoy a bit of mayhem :)

Loved it. Although, I reckon that guy has a little too much time on his hands!

That's pretty much why my mom hates those... she says they're a waste of time.
But I can watch them over and over without ever getting tired :)

Hey Francois, interesting contraption...

In the UK, we have a rail and bus provider called "National Disgrace Express". They are, without question the most pointless and inefficient company at the hands of which I have ever had the misfortune to suffer. This Rube Goldberg character is probably on their timetable and rolling stock maintenance planning team. If not, he must never, ever be allowed to get anywhere near them or all life as we know it will grind to a halt.....

He's actually the one who invented it in the first place ;)

I LOVE this. It reminds me of that old board game (from the 60's) Mousetrap.

BTW, @LateDeveloper: If you google Rube Goldberg, you can see some of his machine comics.
