Observations on Ilford MG4 RD Deluxe
« on: July 12, 2011, 05:35:06 PM »
I recently bought a box of Ilford Multigrade IV RC DeLuxe in the 5x7 format and somehow came up with one of those "is it me or..." type of questions...

So, is it just me or does the newer batches of paper seem a lot thinner than the older ones?
I don't know but it feels a lot more flimsy than the old stuff I had...

I also noticed that the paper seems to also be a bit less sensitive than it used to be...

Anyone else noticed these things or is it just me?

Just printed my postcard on some Ilford MGIV RC which is about 4 years old, seemed pretty thin to me. If you want a heavier RC paper try the Ilford MGIV Portfolio.

Pretty much what I figured...

When I first opened the box, I was wondering if there was any paper at all in the sheets!
