underexposed so overdevelop?
« on: June 07, 2011, 09:18:02 AM »
Quick one guys.

Exposed a roll of Acros 100 at 100 ISO but had forgotten I'd got a yellow filter on.

Is it worth overdeveloping the film a bit (as if it were 200 ISO?)?

Thanks,

Chops

over developing will only increase contrast.

A 'normal' yellow filter only loses about 2/3 stop, so the film lattitude should cope with that.

If you are scanning, it is even less critical.

I wouldn't worry about it too much.  I you are too concerned to play it by ear, buy a speed increasing developer like microphen and use that.

And if your camera has TTL metering, you don't even have to take it into account.
