Filmwasters Book: Project Team
« on: April 12, 2011, 02:47:07 PM »
Ok - now I have some time, I've gone through the original book thread and picked out those who volunteered themselves explicitly to help.

I'm going to try to get a dedicated subforum opened for only the book group to access so we can get it moving.

Please PM me if you no longer want to be involved and I'll knock you off the list.

Once we get a formalised approach/ title/ theme etc sorted, we'll open up to submissions.

cheers!

Leon

I'll help if needed:
I use
Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and several other packages, not sure what help I'll be compared to the other talented guys/gals here...
There's more to this photography thing than meets the eye.

Hi All - Sorry Diane. ... you're in too, I missed you off by accident.

To everyone else, if you didnt put yourself forward in the original thread, then I didn't count you in - sorry.

Sorry everyone - looks like I've cocked it all up before we've even started. Didn't realise the original thread had 2 pages. I have officially sacked myself for being such an idiot.

No Leon, you can't sack yourself, you just need a bit of editing.... :)

We should probably get this really rolling if we plan on having something by the end of the year ---not that that's a deadline but time gets away quickly.

We should decide on a publisher and number of pages and start the ball rolling on gathering submissions.

Also need to decide color and /or black and white images.

Lots to do.

I would go for both color and b&w as some people prefer to shoot in color and others in b&w.

The new subforum is created for us to use (go to the "which Board" pagen and you'll find it at the bottom) although is only visible to members of the sub group.

As I originally said, I don't have any spare time to commit to it until June but I'm happy for others to get the ball rolling and I'll cast my eye over the subforum now and then.

I will add those people I've missed from the original thread, but I'm going to be severe and say if you didn't express a wish to be part of the project group in that thread, then you won't be on the project group. Otherwise it's difficult to know where to set the cut off point and we could end up with a project group the same size as the membership! This does not mean that those people won't be able to submit pictures though :)

ok - i've ironed over my poor performance to get some nice crisp creases in our book team trousers (or something).

everyone who said in the original post they would volunteer themselves should now be able to access the book forum from the "which board" page.

Becky and I have already started some threads.

see you all over there for tea and sponge-cake.

we'll announce soon when we are ready for submissions.
