As it is originally a film based image it won't now accept the upload... Something to do with 'Cookies'...

Time for a Hasselblad SWC digital camera methinks in line with the site buy-out...

Miller, my health is teetering at the best of times. The mention of a digital back for the SWC to my dear wife would no doubt bring about its one and only use, to beat me to death with it!

A couple of shots from downtown Philly taken last Saturday, with the ZI and 50mm Sonnar.  The first is a cool place, with natural sunlight coming in from the left toward the camera, and also from the upper right after bouncing off a mirrored building behind me.  The second is the interior of the 30th St. train station, a massively overbuilt beauty.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Jeff

Took this one this morning just for you.
On the news, it has been just said that almost all beef, pork and chicken was being pulled from the shelves because of a bacterial contamination during transport. When I went to the grocery store, the refrigerators were packed full of these which are said to be safe to eat.

By looking at the fish, I could tell they were not very happy with the news.  ;D ;D

Near Ballater.  An image made at a printing workshop with Andrew Sanderson.  Printed on Ilford MG FB - split grade printed and it will either see selenium or gold tone at some stage soon.  Nice to be printing again.  A few more images that should've been printed a long time ago have seen the light of day :)

The first one is a recovered fuji neg from the 100B film. This was my first try with the black and white neg recovery, that thing is super super thin.  I tried to make a contact print but no dice, it was very faint and about as low contrast as it gets.  I love the look though, going to keep trying these. I shot this one with my holga pinhole camera.

The other is from the back porch of my parents house back in upsate NY.  I went for a visit a few weeks back and shot a bunch.  I especially love this one, it really makes me feel like I'm sitting out on the porch having a smoke on a still and cold day.  I think this one was Ektar 100 and shot on my GF670.

Not seen a better start to a weekend thread for some time:

- Dynamo - stunning panos. The Beetle is just lovely.
- Jojonas - wonderful light and flare. The 2nd is just jaw-dropping
- Calbisu - very moody. The 2nd is my favourite, though
- JWarden - Superb architectural studies. The 2nd is the stronger / bolder, for me at least
- Phil B - Looks like a scene from a B&W pulp fiction film. Beautiful tones. (Note to self -must try the BW400CN)
- Diane - super-cool blue tones and a very atmospheric shot
- Carl - what a stunning print. I'd love to see it "in the flesh"
- Sapata - Vignettes are my thing just now. Fabulous shot.
- Randy - again the 2nd shot is my fave. I feel cold just looking at it.

For me, I've been having a play with the "new" M6 and a roll of Tri-X at Fountains Abbey in North Yorkshire. It's a ruined Cistercian abbey, laid waste by Henry VIII after his bust up with the Pope. These shots have had a bit of a tweak via Silver Efex Pro as that's how I'd like to see them printed. Hope you like 'em.

omg omg i have something to show finally! \o/
just proof prints, need to coat some proper paper and print them properly (and finish developing the rest of the film, while hoping i have enough R09 One Shot)

had an awesome new model last week (who hunted me down and managed to convince me to do more nudes even though I kind of hadn't for a year nearly). She was pure excellence, perfect poses, so happy with the photos/negs, just have to print them all now. Sorry for the cruddy digipics, my scanner is boxed up and no place to put it right now :(

Dynamo - Both great shots, I especially like that car.
jojonas - I'm loving that flare
calbisu - Very nice, always love those 3000b goops :)
J_Warden - Great eye for those cool lines, both of those are really interesting angles that make the pictures really interesting.
Phil Bebbington - Nice, you really got some great contrast in there.
Diane Peterson - love that, what a great shot.  You're making it very hard for me to not try and hunt down one of those Pens
Francois - Mmm fishheads ;)
CarlRadford - Great symmetry and composition, this is a really nice shot.
sapata - Those lines are awesome, seeing this big might make you dizzy :)
Late Developer - Wow, those are amazing.  You really know how to work that Tri-X!
Heather - Those are beautiful, I love the proofs.  They almost look like a painting.

dynamo - great subject matter for that camera!

Carlos - I'm a big fan of the geometric mosaic design that high rise buildings create!  What fabulous polaroids!

J_Warden - beautiful light, tonal range, clarity!

Phil - deliciously nostalgic!

Diane - that smudgey-suede sky!!!

Francois - How appropo! Le Poisson d'Avril!  ;))

Carl - oh my, what a lush print!!

Sapata - wowzers! So this is a paper negative?  Or does it render as a positive?

Randy B - your images are my faves!  Both of them!  So uber-gorgeous. :)

Paul - those are my favorite creamy b/w tones!  All three are stellar standouts!!

Heather - that first one - ohhh the skin!  Beautiful set!

Thanks :)

I have a few stories to go with the picture (real ones this morning)
My mom was doing the groceries. When I thought about April 1st, I called her to ask if they still had those packs of fish heads in the counter. She was really puzzled and asked me why? She thought I had found a recipe for them! Well... not really but I thought they would be perfect for April Fools (le poisson d'Avril). So, I loaded up the Instax... no time to waste.

When I got there, there was a young girl (about 5 years old) who was playing with the packs... she was trying to poke out the fish eyes through the plastic wrap with her fingers... just like if they were bubble wrap :)

When she left, I decided to "arrange" the packs so they would look better in the counter... clearly not thinking that the fish heads were way past their prime! The pack were leaking some fish juice all over my hands! And that smell! Even the alcohol hand sanitizer would not get rid of it! I took the picture and somehow managed not to smear the slime all over the camera... It was smelling so bad I thought every cat in the city would home-in to me!  :D

Some really knockout black and white stuff this time.  I'm finding myself shooting mostly monochrome these days--I think I am beginning to see the world that way.  And no regrets.  Lovely stuff all round.

Thanks Phil; I prefer to shoot buildings but this bit of countryside keeps drawing me in.  I pass it every day going to/from work and it's the easiest thing in the world to take the slight detour and shoot some film.  But yesterday I was in the city and stopped to shoot some pictures of an abandoned shop.  Will post some if they look OK.
