Weeeell, as it looks nobody started the weekend... I DO IT!!!

Just shot one roll of Kodak Gold with the Canon A1, and rediscovered the joy of shooting 35mm. Cooool, I just love shooting any format

Well, large format still to shoot with . But I already even bough POlaroid 4x5 film without a 4x5 camera!!

Oh and that beach shot. Wish there was water like that nearby. All I see is sand and desert.

Nothing wrong with 35mm format. I too like larger, but sometimes the 35mm is just to easy to carry around all day.

I have been reduced to taking interior shots of my kitchen since we have so much snow outside! So cold and icy its not safe to venture out with my LF camera! 4x5 shanghai film.

Calbisu, that first shot is just lovely.

These are from last weekend's walk. It's Tri-X with a Biogon 35mm 2.0.

The tree in the background of this shot is so large that the four of us couldn't reach around the circumference. Big, big.

I'm avoiding the darkroom. My touch, such as it was is eluding me. Wabi-Sabi is in the air yet my celebrations are muted.
I did slosh some Rodinal round a Chinese GP3 today - along with half a dead sheep I think. Still, the Non-Landscape shot I took is nicely in the Vein of Pictorialism. Soft and blurry - that sort of thing.

Hey, some lovely images already. Special mention for Calbisu's first and Andrea's pictorial peat track...

Mine are from a few years back. I'm going through some old negs (slowly) that I had scanned by the processing lab and which, as a result, I thought were pretty crap. Well, I've been pleasantly surprised at the improvement once I've given them the V750 / VueScan treatment. Okay, they're not masterpieces but they've scrubbed up much better than the originals...

The "outside ely" shot was taken at the point the sun broke over the horizon (hence the dark fields to the right) on a bitterly cold but sunny winter's morning in Cambridgeshire. The shot of Battersea Power Station was taken from a moving train, en route to a meeting in Croydon and the "Dead Zone" is a Starbucks - doesn't matter where, the name says it all for me. Camera: Nikon F3 - film Kodak TMX100

Some expired fuji souped with C-41, all taken with the half frame.

I went ukulele shopping today. My other weakness besides cameras are things with strings!

Becky - I trust you'll be familiar with the works of "The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain"? Very talented bunch of musicians. However, they tend to court controversy by playing rock "classics" like this one:

Personally, I think Curt Cobain would see the funny side. Some of his followers seem to think differently. Enjoy.

PS - lovely photos by the way. Natural, warm wood colours are my thing for guitars. I have an unused Martin DX1 Dreadnought that I really must get round to learning how to play - or trading on here - soon....!!!

Since Christmas I've been shooting non-instant film for the first time in a while and have particularly enjoyed working with my Bronny S2A and a home-made lens. Unfortunately, during one of my runs I screwed up the development ratios and mixed Rodinal 1:100 instead of 1:50 and didn't adjust the dev time...so I got some very thin negs with (what would have been) some really nice looking pictures on them. Bah!

Taking a leaf from Andrea's book I should probably have added some sheep to the mix

With the scanner on full stun I can get images from the negs, but the sky is all horizontal lines (in a bad way). In a weak moment I did use Photoshop to selectively blur the background and it looks great, but that's not really the way I roll, so here's the au naturel version of a 'December Pond Weed at Dusk'...or something.

You can still salvage those negs!
Either Silver or Chromium intensifier should do the trick...

Well, the cold weather, snow and ice has been getting to me lately... and this is the first roll I have shot in a very long time...

All on my favorite re-branded Fuji 400. Sadly, I have only 3 rolls of processing included film to go... Lucky the rest of the freezer is packed full of other film.

First one: a view from my back window...
Second one: A visitor to our yard... sadly, I didn't have anything to feed it...
Third one: Part of what was to be my lunch... but somehow I couldn't peel and eat Mr. Potato Head...

Love the circus photo Phil--evokes some very pleasant memories. And Diane's kitchen: what better place to be snowbound?

I'm still fine-tuning that Ikoflex. There were some burrs on the rollers either side of the pressure plate, so I put them on a lathe and spun them against Emery cloth. So here are some from today's test roll:

Aoluain, I rellay like colors in your Polas, are the Fuji´s? They look kinda of desaturated love´em.

Today few friends came home for lunch and of course I had to shoot few Polas at them. I did couple of double exposures with the 195, great possibiliies I guess, but I have not much experience with double exposures. Two bleached Fuji´s 100c and one ¨regular¨...

I decided to see if those lines on my negs were caused by dodgy scanning software and so finally (after 10 years of thinking about it) coughed up and bought Vuescan. This snap isn't from the same roll, but the change in software does seem to have made a difference because others from this roll had the nasty lines across them too.

Here's Jacqui at Samphire Hoe in Kent. Shot with a modified Bronica S2A on expired TMAX400. Processed in Rodinal at 1:100. More to come from this roll, BTW. All 12 of them are decent. not sure that's ever happened to me before.

Mauricio--Thanks, I like it because it's a local barber shop with a very friendly owner but mostly because the micro-scratches that the camera was leaving on the emulsion are almost nonexistent this time!

the developer was really cold ( about 6 C ) after warming in the livingroom this burning disapeared...and / or probably yes, i did pour it in the middle
