I found it very touching.  Puts me in touch with my own mortalilty.  None of us is getting any younger.

For that I am glad. Can you imagine how much that would suck?

Great find Ann!   ;D

The Mechi one is great - how did she manage to get the same specs?

these are amazing! - and a great testament to Irina Werning's talent and creativity.  I found some of the quite moving, and others really funny.

this one is hillarious:

And I find this one quite sad - something to do with the mother in the '77 shot looking a similar age to the daughter in the '10 shot. Getting old sucks.

I expect the 2010 shots are all digi with some photoshop to match colour shifts etc - although it would be cool if Irina is using expired films etc to match the old look ... I expect the ageing of the old prints etc would make it too unpredictable though.

Getting old sucks.
Talk about it... but there isn't much we can do about it without looking completely silly...

I like the idea of looking old and silly!

Wonderful series. So much fun to see the changes in these people, or sometimes, the lack there of.

I like the idea of looking old and silly!

It's not the looks I'm bothered about - it's how quickly it all goes and what it is we are all rushing towards.

This is getting quite depressing  ;)

I know of only one solution to that: rent a bucket loader or a JCB and tear up the yard like if you were Joe with a Tonka truck :)

This is bound to make you feel young at heart for at least an afternoon  ;D

One of my favorites is this image with the grown women in ridiculously hilarious 'baby' clothes.  And then I also love the ones where adults try to imitate their baby expressions - Hahaa!

Whoops - I didn't see that you'd posted the same hilarious one Leon!  Also these imitated expressions:

the photographer did a great job in getting the two photographs to look the same.

must have taken ages/trials & errors to find the right location, clothing, lighting, etc.

Has anyone seen this weekend Guardian magazine ?

The photographer Katherine Rose did exactly the same thing ! She asked famous people to be the models though :o
