Wow. that had me hooked 4 seconds in, when Chuck Close started talking. My favorite artist! I've seen a few of his daguerreotype portraits, and they are stunning!!

So much about photography today is summed up in that sentence from the very end of the trailer. Not sure if the film makers meant it to be that pointed, but you can certainly read it that way.

If this film is half as good as the trailer then it'll be awesome. I can see it stirring up a lot of excitement and interest which will see a number of people turning to traditional processes and trying their hands. On the downside, I suspect it will also turn a lot of mobile phone app developers onto creating wet plate and related 'filters' for their camera apps.

Doesn't silverfx already have a wet plate collodion filter :)

oh, wow... this is sure to be interesting. hehehe, really exciting! I'll have to see this on a big screen somehow, maybe with the photoclub or something...
