Great start to the weekend.

I'm still dinking with paper negs in my pinhole camera.
This one with efke's positive paper, which is uber slow, like ISO 1.
This was a four minute exposure.

It makes a direct positive, which is cool!
5 x 7 in a homemade pinhole camera.

Ilford HP5+ developed in Aculux pushed to 16 mins

Unfortunately Andrea's scanner is dying ~~and there's a line across the top of the pic,~~ now cloned out

(really grateful that they're scanned so I can see the result) - maybe I should ask for a darkroom date and do some prints ;-)

Art Installation.

One from earlier in the month - scanned on the dodgy Canon 8800f scanner. I cloned out the grey line down the neg where it showed - but most of it conveniently passes down the lamp-post! Anyone out there know if this is a repairable fault, its only 2 years old.

Two from my side from the black beast. If there is something that I hate more than sand from the beach is salted water... This weekend we went to a little island with little Alma, diving, between WWII wrecks, coconuts and not traffic sound!!!!! or polution!!!! Yes, Manila can be overwhelming sometimes

Mine does this too- though I have two grey lines. Mightily peeved by it....

Printed this neg today but on 11x14 (AGfa MCP) and my scanner doesn't go that big so this is a neg scan with the colour djusted to resemble the Agfa with 2 minutes in Viradon. Shot on Delta 400 with CV 25mm/f4 (didn't even see the cyclist in the top left until I printed this).
Liked the somehow hypnotic red cactus pola earlier in the thread.

I didn't have chance to participate last week and work this week has been an even bigger drain on my time / energy. However, what threads:

Urban - those 'mat photos are gorgeous. What colours....!
Gregor - superb 885, as ever...
Astrobeck - cute dinosaurs
Windy - I love the blurry branches and the shot of those shoes
Miller - Excellent cactus. What film...?
Andrea - nice shot but I find the blurry figure a bit disturbing - like a still from a horror flick...
Calbisu - just wonderful family photos
Phil - what a fantastic sky you caught there. Filter?
J Warden - lovely tones from that Biogon
Mil - Fantastic distracted figures in your shots - you must have donned the cloak of invisibility....!
Dave Elden - there's real depth and sharpness oozing from that shot with the CV 25mm/f4

My efforts this week are a couple of years old. The first few were taken with a Nikon F100 that I never quite took to for some reason. Nice camera and it produced great results but it seemed a bit noisy and "hollow" sounding. The one taken outside Tate Modern was with my old M6 on Tri-X 400 (if I remember correctly).

ick.. last of the darkroom before I move. Enlarged negatives for cyanotype but i think it's all too high contrast. Need to work on making lower contrast enlarged negatives.

Also printed this calla lily photo, tho the negative is a bit scummy and needs a clean. It's a 6x9cm negative which is technically not suppose to be work in my enlarger but I made a cardboard carrier for it and it seems to cover fine with an 80mm enlarger lens.

It's the same negative as for this cyanotype (and it's surprisingly low contrast. See, you don't need high contrast negatives for cyanotypes).

Back to packing up stuff for me.

I cleaned the white lamp-shade thing and all seems much better at the moment

What a pleasure to look at this thread--there's some great stuff in our backlogs. Urban's lonely boathouses on the lake caught my eye--the way the blues of the sky and the reflection in the lake are rendered is almost magical. I keep returning to the spooky surreal forest shots and Mil's Japan street photos too. And Heather's lily pics, and the poor lonely person standing out there in the cold of Andrea's frozen landscape. But with 3 feet of snow outside my door, I have NO sympathy for complaints about beach sand...

All winners, but mostly attracted to the angular shots this week. Would make a good gallery on their own.

Oh, and Heather's calla. It has that stark attraction that always pulls me in.

Miller, very dreamy light and color. I shot a cactus just like this once.
Andrea, very surreal, and the movement really adds to that feeling.
Carlos, your family shots are so wonderful! I find myself looking forward to them each week. They make me smile.
Phil, great shots, both, love the moody sky in the first.
Warden, very cool! What a find. Its amazing how nature adapts to its surrounds.
Dave, very interesting angle.
LD, love all the shots, but the first two just blew me away with that color, and in the second, that soft, dreamy light. Though the last is also a new favorite.
Heather, just love your cyanotypes, especially the flower. Wow!
Harvey, very dreamy shots. That last is like something out of a fairy tale.

Mojave, really glad you liked them.

The first two got a tweak (but not massively so) in Lightroom 2. The first one is a bit "flat" as the sun hadn't got above the horizon properly but the second was just what I'd hoped for. The Ashridge Estate (a National Trust forest just outside Berkhamstead) is awesome at the end of April / early May - with acres of bluebells.

However, you have to be there by 06:00 to get any chance of shooting without 20-odd other early bird photographers getting into your shot. By mid morning, there's almost fights breaking out to get a clear shot. It's hilarious.

The last was with my old M6. A fiddly bugger to load in a hurry but a great camera. The lens was a Cosina-Voigtlander 29mm f1.9 Ultron. I enhanced the natural propensity of this lens to vignette in Lightroom 2 and cleaned up a bit of dust and scratches in CS3. Apart from a slight warm tone, it's as it came out of the can.

using my Vario GuGo..with Ilford Delta 400...for the life of me I can't think where I got this camera but I love it! Everything works perfectly! and since I don't remember it's origin its a cinch I paid less than $5.00 for it! I am very happy with the images produced so far...

I have 3 photos in a group show here in Seattle. The main exhibit is the burlesque work of college photography textbook author, Henry Horenstein. At the opening there was a burlesque performance. M2, trix. I couldn't remember if I was metering for 1600 or 800 so I developed it for 1600. As it turns out, from the negatives, it was clear I was metering for 800....

The most interesting aspect of the show is that Horenstein's most used textbooks are focused on color and b&w darkroom. His prints were inkjet prints. hmmm.

Here is one taken on Arista Premium 400 pushed to 1600 and developed in HC-110 (16mins).
