Turns out the world isn't always a dark and hideous place after all.
I'm sitting here working on the next version of Foodwasters.com, sipping
Chase vodka and a cold
Choue Blonde (not in the same glass!) listening to the incredibly wonderful "
Slade in Flame" album for the first time since I was a kid in the 1970's when I'd sneak listens to my Dad's vinyl copy....ah, enough of that as I could go on for hours on the subject of half-remembered melodies and the fact that "Far, Far Away" is obviously one of the best songs ever written, but I thought Phil might appreciate a bit of background music to add context to the next part.
Anyway, a few days ago I'd done what I do every few weeks, to whit; search evilBay for Polaroid film deals. I put my usual top price on a few packs of 665 and then forgot about it. For whatever reason I won all of them and am now the proud owner of 3 packs of unopened 665 for £47 (£14.83 each plus p+p). WTF? How come situations like this come to pass?
"Hello World, Ed here. You should all be bl**dy
ashamed of yourselves for not bidding this film up a bit and making me work a bit harder for my pos/neg fix."
OK, I'll admit to being a little tipsy, but I hope you'll bear with me for wanting to celebrate my good fortune with an understanding audience.
