Have a look at this. I had no idea what a "sproket rocket" is (sounded vaguely rude, so I was intrigued) and stumbled over this:

Also, sort of related - for those of us who scan our negatives on a flat bed scanner:

(This might have been posted on here before so, if it has, apologies - I'm not trying to claim any credit - just spreading the word....)

I'd quite like one of those Sprocket Rockets, however, £90 is a bit steep..

Of course, did you think that they had an original design?

This was sold under other names, like the Dick Tracy camera. I remember reading a long time ago a review of the Dick Tracy camera, it called it the worst camera ever.

Yeah, but this one shoots panoramic with s-p-r-o-c-k-e-t-s (wooooo!)

Just imagine, you have the choice between the Hassy X-Pan and the Sprocket Rocket if you want to shoot 24x72mm images...

I've got one of those Falcons; I think I paid $10 for it.  Must run some film through it one of these days.  Also got an old Horizont panoramic--now if I could pull them both apart and make a Frankenstein camera...

If at least they had used real Bakelite, I wouldn't have thought anything of the price... but this one is regular 100% natural plastic...

(BTW, did I say I just love Bakelite cameras... :) )

I have a this camera, and I really enjoy it. Was a gift from the wife, but I would have spent the money for a real sized pano camera like this. I made a quick unboxing vid if you want to see more of it a few weeks ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpnFLC-DrJw

Hi Gary. I didn't know that you had shot a few photography-related videos. Great stuff. If you feel like doing anything for a FW video podcast in the future just let me know; I'd be delighted.

Glad you're enjoying the Sprocket Rocket.
