I haven't really done anything special in storing my negatives.
I use various negative files, kenro, jessops, etc. stored in the ring binders provided by the sleeve suppliers.
Generally what ever has been available at the photo store.
The negatives are also in reasonable condition, particularly since at this time I wouldn't have realised the significance of incorrect processing.
In fact I think I've only got about three rolls which look as if they weren't wash properly and now have some degree of staining.
It is interesting that you all think the first shows it age more.
I think I can see what you mean, but I am not entirely sure why the other two seem more timeless.
Of course, context is everything and for me, I am well aware that the first two were taken in the sixth form room at school.
Memory is an interesting thing.
I cannot recall the first young lady at all.
The second I cannot remember her name but she got straight A's and an unconditional offer from the university of her choice.
The third I can remember her name, Carol and more beside.
The lady in the background is my mother roughly at the age I am now and Carol is about the same age as my daughter.
Scary or what?
Thank you all for your comments.
