kodachrome 64 query
« on: May 26, 2010, 11:28:51 PM »
I dont normally use slide film but I would like to use up some kodachrome 64 in my film box before the november deadline. From the

kodak website I see that you still have to send it to lausanne where it is fowarded to Kansas and turned around in approx. 3 weeks.

Is this true?Has anybody used this service recently?

Sounds like an environmentally sustainable, low carbon-footprint way of doing things!

My friends just got a few rolls back but I think they sent it direct to the people in Kansas- I think the place is called Dwayne's photo.

Apparently they'll stop offering this service in december- I've got half a roll left that's taken me almost a year to shoot...

Here's the website for Dwayne's Photo. It's probably best to send your film directly to them.

Yep, I have also heard that Dwayne's is the last place processing it.

I have one roll left and need to shoot it before year end.

Should we have a farewell Kodachrome gallery?

Aren't all Kodachrome films process included when you buy them?
Sending them direct to Dwaynes shouldn't cost anything more than the shipping.

The Kodachrome sold in the USA did not include processing. What was sold in Europe often did include processing by Kodak, but as they haven't done any processing for several years now, sending it to Dwayne's is probably the only real option.

Kodachrome was also processing included in Canada.
