This is in one of the Battersea Power Station  pics I posted in the weekend thread. Not sure what's caused it. The sun wasn't behind the power station it was to one side. These 'flares' aren't straight anyway. Could it be something that's happened in the film? The film was XP2 commercially processed in C41.

I would think static electricity... Possibly during a fast rewind.

Or more likely pollen that got in the film chamber and attached itself to the film...

Somehow, it reminds me of the fluff made by some trees. This stuff sticks to anything and can float around for miles.

I had another look at the film under a micoscope and it is a foreign object. Not sure what but there's something there. I think it was because it looked like light coming through the window of the building that made me miss the obvious.

there's loads of dandelion and tree seed fluff flying around at the moment ... ?

I know tree fluff is pretty bad around here. There's a big tree on a government property that sends seeds flying for at least 1km all around.
And the city, as usual, mows the parks after the dandelions have finished seeding...

But I must admit is can make for some nice pictures
