I mailed mine today! They didn't turn out exactly as planned but I always have next time! Can I use the excuse that this was my first exchange? :)

Keep them coming people. This is really excited.

I got my photo glue yesterday. You know the kind of glue that turns into this rubber stuff and can be removed again. All your postcards will be put on the glas of one of the doors in my flat.

Four hours in the darkroom this weekend making postcards - and almost as long handwriting the addresses and messages!  Four different images - each randomly allocated.

Will post them out tomorrow - those in UK to arrive later this week, those in Europe and North America, who knows?

Really enjoyed them arriving here - almost one a day for a while but nothing this last week.

Some more excellent cards have arrived over the last week.

Thanks to Carol, Urban, Otto, Rob and Harvey. I love them all.

Mine are printed, just waiting to be cut up, labelled and addressed. Should be done by the end of the week.

Cheers

Wow I have writers cramp!!  Boy you guys in the UK have some pretty weird addresses  :)

So just in case you can't read my scribbles on the back here it is:

The image is of Mexican wrestler masks hanging in a store along one of the locals streets in Puerto Vallarta.
I shot it with Ilford FP4 rated at 64 asa and processed in PyroCat-HD, semi stand.  Camera used was a Leica M3 with a 50mm Summicron lens.

Heading off to the post office now.

Nothing wrong with our addresses! However, you're not the first to comment on mine. The format is:

House Name
Village
Town
County
Postcode
UK

Nice and easy! The village doesn't have street names. Some of the houses have been there for several hundred years so if the postie doesn't know where a house is now they never will!

Looking forward to your card -- sounds interesting. :)

Guilty as charged m'lady :) Or at least my card was a snuff tin with the now almost obligatory bit of web. Apologies if I didn't make it clear (it was my first time!)

I've got exciting news, my cards posted this morning.  ;D Always a nice feeling to get them in the mail.

Additional cards received:
Graham A nice print of a giant column and post box, really like the tone and texture of the old stone work.
Jen Have no idea what a flipped lens Brownie is, but I like the results.
Shaun Snuff tin - Gorgeous

This make thirteen so far, keep um coming!!!

I use clear glass float frames.    :) :)
You can see the front and back easily and it's a fun way to show them all off!

It looks really cool hung on a wall that way.  :)

Glad you like the card. As far as traveling with the Speed Graphic to NY, no problems. I did send the film back and forth via USPS priority mail so that eliminated film issues at the airport. The Speed Graphic definitely got the attention of airport security out of SFO, they hand inspected the camera and swabbed it for explosive residue. They also inspected and swabbed both of my light meters. They said anything with 9V batteries is suspect. JFK didn't give the camera gear a second glance.

As far as photographing in NY with the Speed, it was a great experience. The public in general thought the camera was very cool. I got quite a few comments.

It's made it over the Atlantic as well Eric! Card well received here.  Seems like a bit of a surge at the moment, received Diane's, and Graham's as well. It's a pity our postman isn't much of a morning person but they're great to come home to. :)

Just an update from me.  I've now had fifteen cards delivered, from Vicky, Peter R, Becky, Damian, Carol M, Rob S, Otto K, Urban H, Ed, Harvey, Jen, Mike, Roger T, Eric and Diane.  Loved receiving them all - a real fillip to my imagination and what can be done with glass and light sensitive materials.  Faves, in no particular order, are those from Damian, Rob, Otto, Urban Hafuer, Ed, Harvey and Diane.  Hope everyone received one from me?  I'll upload to FW all of the four images that I sent out sometime soon.

Now looking forward to the next nine arriving.

Hi Everyone, first I'd like to thank everyone for the gorgeous cards that have been hitting the mat over the past month. I think this is probably the best exchange I been part of.

Secondly, I must apologise for my incredible lateness in getting my cards out. But saving everyone the boring details I've been having a hellish time at work, which is hopefully coming to an end. I really haven't been able to think about photography (or anything else for the that matter). So sincere apologies. The good news is I've got the cards ordered, and done the quicker post thing. As soon as they arrive i'll be getting them out first class. :-[

Hope everyone's well?

The exchange has been a great experience.  Nice to see so many great photographs done by dedicated film types.  Now if we could just get everyone back into the darkroom ....  The last rental darkroom here at home closed down about 6 months ago.  Absolutely no demand.  I'm lucky I have my own.  A bit of a different "Man Cave" that what is the norm  ;D

Sorry for the delay, and for undoubtedly being the last.
I promise I'm not (that) lazy, it's just that our new African Grey Parrot had to go in what was my darkroom. Oh, the dust!

It's taken an age to get it sorted, the postcards are in the post... finally.

Thanks so much to the rest of you. Love your stuff.

Ditto, thanks for all the beautiful cards too!

Stu, I just recieved yours, love how you made it too.
It was a confused arrival...i just signed for some astia delivery and then the new postie handed me the postcard and said 'this is my country, where i come from'...and i thought he was just being friendly and showing me a photograph he'd taken....i think i read 'i took this photo' and saw it was taken with a leica and it took me a few seconds to realise it had my name on it and then it clicked...durr!

Anyway, thank you :)

Yes, just to confirm I also seem to be a few short, although I see there were 26 names on Diane's original list, which, minus your own card should leave us with looking forward to receiving 25 cards. I seem to remember sending 25 out but I've also only had 21 pop through my letter box.  Are one or more persons still beavering away in their darkrooms?

G
