Another of Grace, with Astia on the hassy.
Feeling a bit flat about it all at the moment but I'm sure it'll pick up again soon...blegh.

Vicky, you should never feel flat about your photos of Grace, although, I do understand the feeling very much.

Vicky,

Fluctuations in spirit are a rite of passage for the sensitive and creative amongst us.

Just growing pains is what I put it down to.  But it doesn't show in your pics we see.

Your work is exemplary and you are bound to hit the wall at times when you are pushing the boundaries, as you do.

you're a lovely lot, thank you.

i was thinking last night what i probably need is more of a long term project, or some sort of plan otherwise i'm beginning to feel that i'm taking the same pictures over and over...i dunno....and there's probably a thread about this somewhere :)

Vicky,

I find a medium or long term plan for me is quite useful. Gives me something to aim at, although I break this up into shorter "milestones" which are easier to achieve and work towards. Also, it's less demoralising when I don't reach the target of the long term plan!

This may be a difficult question, but where would you like to go with your photography?

In 2 years time what do you want to have achieved?

Mike

Vicky, I spent a few years in a rut... and it's slowly coming back to me this year... so don't worry about it. I'm sure inspiration will come back, you just have to be patient and give it time.
We're all sending you good vibes :)

This was from last week-end at the plant nursery (before allergy season strikes).

The only good shot I have... I tried taking a picture of their black cat but it seems it didn't like me much  :-\

sorry i didn't get back earlier.
i've been thinking about mikeg's question and felt really stumped, like you do when you're just not interested.
but i took some pictures today and feel inspired again so that's okay :)

i think, if i was in an ideal world i'd be being commissioned to do projects on anything...whether it was social care or farming or pretty much anything.
something that had a purpose to it, maybe where i had to do research, i don't know.
i'm not in a position to do that yet, kids still at home etc, but maybe one day.
for now i need to learn how to get more consistent results, it still all feels so much luck...i bought some expired film from a professional today, he showed me some of his 4x5 transparencies and they were perfect, not necessarily my kinda thing but the skill level was really high, i'd like that :)

and thank you all, you gave me some much needed cheering on.
