Missed list
« on: March 22, 2010, 06:00:54 PM »
With the very sad demise of Charlie Gillett http://www.charliegillett.com I was struck by the passing of people in the public eye that I wish I'd had a chance to photograph. Charlie was one, then Ivor Cutler and Humphrey Lyttelton. Does anyone else have a list of the missed?

Andrea.

I don't have a list but those three would be on any list I did have. Just been listening to Charlie on the BBC iPlayer. Ivor Cutler was a gem, Humph was Humph.
Plus for me John Peel, Viv Stanshall and Eddy Merckx when he won Paris-Roubaix.

Strange, I was talking to a percussionist friend about Charlie yesterday. He's involved in some stuff with an ex-partner for one of his daughters and I informed him about his passing. He was proper shocked to hear..

The passing of any great jazz musician always hurts...

I decided to enlarge the Polaroids, because, as the wolf said to Red Riding Hood, “all the better to see you with, my dear.” Mrs Helmut Newton
