Voigtlander Avus - First results
« on: March 20, 2010, 11:24:05 PM »
Made in Germany beteween 1914-1930...  it was designed to take 6.5X9 plates but can be used as well with sheet film . In this case I had to "glue" the film  in cardboard pieces with honey and place them  inside the dark slides. A real pain but here are the results. Didn't clean the dust and rust, just some basics Photoshop adjustments.

After all the hassle, today while walking in Portobello Rd I found the Rollex film back !
Nevermind... it was a great experience anyway

Feedback are always welcome...
Cheers !!

Sapata,

I guess the way I'm viewing them on my macbook screen they're basically contact print size. The quality of the image is amazing. There is a period quality to the look that I can't put my finger on. Really well done. Great to see some more with the film back when you have them.

Thanks Nigel !

The original film size is 8.0x5.5cm but some were cropped because the pictures weren't straight since the film is a bit smaller than the dark slide.

I was working on the film back yesterday and is now ready, I'll post the results when I get them !
