Topic: Sigma Super-wide II 24mm lens part tw0

tested the lens last week while in Texas and I'm pretty sure it's a keeper!

First photo is a family "portrait" of my rancher friend Susan who hosts all sorts of critters.
The second is of a local "beer joint"  that appears to have an issue with my old Pentax.  I'm showing it mainly for the camera issue.
Not sure whether I should get the camera fixed, or just retire it since I do have a spare.

Anyway, Ilford XP2 film and would greatly appreciate all comments about the photos and whether or not to have the Pentax K1000 repaired or not.

PS. the dog is a working Catahoula ( Callahoolie) "leopard dog".  Great ranch dogs.  This one's name is Lola!

Not too idle.  The photo of the rancher and her critters was on the same roll, but out of two rolls, each one had about  a third of the photos with the light leak.

It's somewhat odd to me that it doesn't happen all the time, so I'm a bit stumped.  thanks!

Are you using a never-ready case sometimes?- they can be quite good at preventing leaks sometimes. Otherwise it's pretty easy & cheap to buy the foam bits on ebay and replace the light seals yourself.

I'm thinking it's the light seals, too. Bought a nice old Nikon FE2 and had the same trouble: intermittent light leaks. Took me a few rolls to realize what was going on. Had the seals replaced and all was well.

And loved the picture, BTW---tortoise, beautiful lady, and the dog---the dog's and tortoise's heads  exactly parallel (!), and  the dog, noble soul, the picture of tolerance in allowing his lady to coo to a reptile...!!
