Well... only 24 days before the guy in the red suit comes over...
Now what do you give the photographer who doesn't know what to ask for that's affordable and fun?

I have no idea as of yet and everything I can think of is way too expensive...

Turning this thread into a FilmWasters Holiday Gift Guide would be great!

In the "Way-Too-Expensive-But-I've-Really-Been-Good" category, I'd love to get a Leica M6! And some sort of Nokton Wide Angle lens to go with it would be nice too.

But I'd settle for a few rolls of Tri-X.

a Fujipet
a Crown Graphic (or maybe Speed Graphic)
a lifetime supply of Polaroid Type 55, Type 59, Type 559, Type 669, Type 665
FlexTight Scanner
a couple of Hasselblad lenses

Is that too much to ask?

Oh wait, you said 'affordable'. Hmmm...I guess that leaves us with books.
Or how about a gift certificate to Blurb?

You know, I've never liked that whole 'be good for goodness sake' thing. I think it's just a way for 'The Man' to keep children down. And that whole, 'he sees you when you're sleeping, he know when you're awake' stuff - pretty creepy. If he ever shows up at my house, he's not getting cookies; he's getting a restraining order.

Maybe that's why I've never gotten my pony.

hate to say it but gift certificates (if available) for online or local supply shops are winners for me from the kids.

My wife always says, "Why should I buy you a tripod (or something similar), you're just going to buy it anyway. let me have some fun."

Ebay shows 48 results found for Kodak Pony. I don't understand why someone close to you hasn't granted your wish. They're nice cameras (I have two) and cheap. Here's a photo made with my more expensive ($15) Pony on Kodak Gold (also cheap).

Not exactly the kind of shoes I had in mind, but,these are kinda cool. Cool website, lots of stuff there, t-shirts, mugs, shoes, ties, everything. You can play around with the colours of things too. Which is nice.

Those fujipets look lovely!!

I don't know why but around here, cool stuff is girls only territory. Guys are stuck looking either like lumber jacks with plaid shirts and jeans... or like metalheads (what's the point in putting skulls on everything?).

Oh, yeah... there's also the old Bernard Madoff look... but this one is getting less and less popular these days
