Fuji TW-3.
« on: November 09, 2009, 09:58:03 AM »
Motor-drive:

Semi-adjustable focus, f8.

Ugly!

Fun to play with. Twin lens! 69mm & 23mm.TV-mode AND Back Light Control it seems. DX compatible.

There is this dinky little mirror trick it has when you switch lenses, which are obviously on different sides of the camera. A magnifier flips in front of the VF when you turn it to 'Tele'. One of the few half-frame cameras that has a native landscape format. Remarkably, this one was built in April 1992, and the factory installed battery is still in place, cranks the motor-drive, and charges the flash nicely. Cute! See ya. Skj.

You mean it uses some type of strange battery pack?

Another, I think, being this

a Konica Recorder. One of which I've just aquired though it's not in my grubby hands yet.

Yes, one that can be replaced with 2x CR123 in series (I think):

It lives in the lump in the film-door. I will be replacing mine regardless to see how it effects the flash charge cycle, which seems a bit long on second use now...

There is a matching red-striped case too it seems:

It does look like two batteries stacked and held together using shrink wrap. Opening the wrap delicately with an x-acto knife would reveal what's underneath...

Still, a camera with a permanent battery pack still sounds weird to me!

Ahhh... I see they're available in red, so I might just have to get one. The open/close action looks pretty snappy! This one is 800 yen (less than a pint of Guinness).

Thanks! Skj.

Mine was part of a job lot I just bought (along with that Ricoh Auto Half). I paid a total of 19 Euros, including postage from Germany, for 13 cameras.

You cannot argue with that!
