weekend - 6 November
« on: November 06, 2009, 05:09:35 PM »
Starting out a new weekend thread, separating out from last weekends...

Wasting a lot of very expired Polaroid (1999 on the 669) while the rain, thunder and lightning keeps me amused, but confined to interior shots....

679 on the Bronica, 665 on the Graflex....

Just back from walking the dog and finishing off a roll of XP2 in the Canon. No on-call this weekend so I'll post a 'happy' shot taken a while back

Not a new shot - going through my type 665 negatives today and plotting out a series, I decided to scan this one.  It made me laugh. Unconsciously, my version of Arbus' "Jewish Giant"  (my son, he's 6 feet tall and the low ceiling and small holiday tree resulted in an (happily) unexpected distortion of scale !!

Good pics everyone. Nice knicks Vicky! Here are a couple from my recent holiday in Mallorca, playing on PS to mask the rather drab negs.

Gosh, I just love this forum. All these grand images and everything....

Well, since I have to pop out to wrestle some miscreant to ground before putting a bracelet on him tonight, I scanned some snaps I took of the crofters earlier. Unseasonal sunshine and warmth, rams, sheeps and all that. Island life eh?

PS; they were doing a spot of horn trimming with a saw so the ram could see the girlie sheeps waiting patiently nearby

this has been a great weekend gallery...one of the best this year I'd say.

My meager contribution is a pinhole shot of my kitchen window in honor of my granny.
She loved blue glass things in windows that reflected light, so I made this one for her.
She's long gone, but she's always with me in spirit as she loved to look at photos and through my telescopes.

Homemade pinhole cam, Fuji instant film
15 seconds or so.....

Vicky, love the last: getting red and green to "work" together isn't easy either in photography or painting. You've shown a masterly touch.

And just to show I haven't abandoned black and white, here's some of the lesser known sights of Oxford. Taken on Sunday with the Canon Demi. I was trying to use up the film but gave up after 55 shots.

Sorry for the excess of pics this week but it's not often I get to go out and take pictures twice in a weekend.
