Still love it---one of my favorites is a point'n'shoot Yashica T-4 with a Zeiss 35mm  (the kind with the 'periscope') that caused havoc in the household by wandering off (e.g., discreetly inhabiting the bicycle gear basket) for several months. It was a day of celebration when the prodigal reappeared... Another old favorite: a Nikon FE2.

Saw prints from Richard Gordon's sly, witty 'American Surveillance' 35mm project at Robert Koch (SF) this past January (shot on a Leica). And now Robert Bergman is opening his much-anticipated  portrait show at  Yossi Milo---all 35mm work. Nice. Would love to see it in the flesh.

Lovely. I'm a huge fan of the T4 although I've never owned one. A lot of my favourite snappers use them for p'n's duties. I recently opted for the Ricoh GR1s (thanks, Skorj), but was tempted by a T4 too. t4's are great for taking photos at small, sweaty gigs.

John Lennon? Nah, I see Michael Jackson (much as it pains me).

that is an amazing picture.  Really nice. The only 35mm shot I ever really was happy with was of fish too:

Leon, this one reminds me of that fantastic shot of the white hound running toward the camera (that you posted in 'Dogs')...

this is a scan of a print - ilford mg fb warmtone selenium toned.  I'll do you a swap if you want = one fishy pic for another?

Yes on the swap, leon. But are you a patient man? The 35mm koi makes a nice print---but it's (regrettably)  a pain in the neck, too, for this stickler, and I have my work cut out  for the next month or so to get prints finished for a January show. But after that...? (I print it on Bergger, a warm tone fiber.)

Those smoky ones, moominsean: like Wayne Levin among the sea creatures...

Ed..please tell me you didn't see M.J.  I swear if I have to hear or see much more about him I will scream..I mean enough is enough..  :) :) :)...and besides, If you saw him his entire entourage was right there with him...

An analog photo blog that may be of interest to this group---and I think is almost exclusively 35mm---is 'Your Waitress' http://www.yourwaitress.com. Valerie Cochran shoots copiously, unself-consciously, and with genuine (and endearing) curiosity. Her portrait of NYC street photographer Louis Mendes is terrific. and I believe she shoots exclusively with a canon A-E 1 and just a prime lens..
