Same format as before.
Please sign up by sending a pm to me with your name and address. This is an international exchange so please include your country and be prepared to send cards to all corners of the world.
Deadline for signing up is the end of October.
Deadline for sending cards out will be end of December.
At the start of November, I will collect together all the names and addresses and pm the list to everyone. It is then your task to send everyone on the list a postcard. To give you a rough idea of the number of cards you will need to produce, there were 20 people in the last exchange.
Cards can be printed in the darkroom on any paper, e.g. 6x4 or 5x7 inches. Then address and stamp the back to send.
Hybrid cards can be scanned negatives and printed with inkjet / pigment inks, on papers such as fine art, etc. Your choice -- just turn the back into a postcard and send off via snail mail.
Only one rule. The image must have originated from film.
No particular theme.
Some tips:
Some people send different images to everyone, most send the same image. Obviously if you've participated in the previous exchanges then don't send the same image as before!
Ilford Portfolio RC Postcard paper is still available, if a little pricey. It's thicker than normal RC paper and survives the rigours of the postal service slightly better than normal RC paper.
It's easier to write/print names and addresses on labels such as those made by Avery rather than writing on the back of the print itself.
It's often nice to include some details about the image on the back e.g. location, title, camera, film etc.
Thanks
Mike
