Nice softness in those, hookstrapped

Devved some film I took yesterday, playing around with the 2x3 Century Graphic and swapping out the groundglass for the 120 roll back etc.

Brought back some marshmallow peeps from the US that my mom bought for me at easter. They're nice when they go stale and chewy. They also make cute models except for the shedding coloured sugar everywhere... Got some more from the roll, just have to print them. Overexposed a little (maybe my bellows extension thingy doesn't work for 2x3) so cyanotype exposures are double the time which is tedious. I can cope with 10 minutes but 20 is pushing it.

hookstrapped - you've got some decadent tones and grain!  (... and light and composition and...)

Heather - adorable  :)  Someone told me that you can put the stale peeps in the toaster oven and done just right you get something that tastes like creme brulee.   ;))

I've been messing about with Damion's Great Wall camera to see if I can get that Bokeh swirl going on - not quite yet - but working on it.

Here's a Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea)

Leon - it's looking good even though you don't feel it's exactly what you wanted.  Love the depth of what you have in that shot.  The hint of detail left in the background foliage is quite nice. I think that is quite possibly more interesting than a stronger Bokeh.

Thought I'd pop this one up I took last summer to give a little inspiration. Different camera so different results of course: Bronica SQ-A, Pola back, #3 Hoya CU diopter.

A photographic drought ?????
If so , then a  photographic drought is not the same as an artistic drought.
Oh my goodness, these are easily the best images I've seen posted since I've been a member here.

....but...but what about me,  i thought it was unspoken that I was the best photographer posting here,   i mean its literally never been said....and to that end i just presumed thats what was meant by it.

if that isnt the case it really throws open a lot of whats literally never been said......

& one from this morning. There's a few plants in my yard that I take a photo of once a week as a pseudo documentary of their annual life cycle - fall to early winter shots tend to be more interesting (to me).  This isn't one of those I shoot weekly but the light caught my eye today.  Bronica SQ-A, pola back, type 664.

Clare ... I saw the two images as a single work - living in the same frame. A sort of double mirror: reflecting coruscations of meanings and relationships. This is thrilling to me.

I was in Cambridgeshire last weekend for a friend's birthday, and picked up my negs yesterday. Happily, all fine - but the roll of Ektachrome was a disaster to scan, which breaks ones heart when the slides themselves are so vibrant and sharp.  :(  These were all taken with a Mamiya C330, and various films - the Ektachrome but also Optima100, Reala, and Fuji NPS160 - and mostly in beautiful beautiful Norfolk....
