Mystery Tree & Muse
« on: June 19, 2009, 03:06:20 AM »
So I found myself shooting off a pack of Fuji in the Colorpack III with the muse....and mystery tree. A wonderful tree. Not sure what type tree it is as it has really soft and gold like plumes. I figured I use it in the series. A few frames were over exposed so I just tossed them as I thought not much could be done. Other than that, I am shooting again...well, sort of, and feel I could waste more film again soon.

I am totally loving the Fuji3000 so much. The prints are grand and the goop makes me very happy. No sticking them inside a photo holder anytime soon as I found out during a recent outing. Ouch. Not much solorization though but looking at them they look like they are loaded with it.....not necessarily as with scanning/ps. Anyhow, hope to get my hands on more.

Alright then...thanks for looking.

These are gorgeous!
What are you referring to when you say you won't be sticking them in a photo holder? Does something unwanted occur?

Very nice, it almost looks as if your muse is floating in the second shot. Good stuffs.

Thanks a bunch folks. My usual subject matter but what the hell. I wanted to today but there is an odd wind and possible cold front which usually spells....horrid weather. Next time...

Ms. Ann, I meant when shooting in the field using pack film, I bring along a small plastic photo album and stick them between pages for safe keeping. The 667 works fine but it is the Fuji film that makes trouble and sticks to the plastic and lifting and separating the gunk that isn't very nice. So I used clothes pins and stuck them to my shirt for the short walk across the street. Hahaha...

The first one really stands out here Beck. Funny, like with Brian Scott Peterson's work, these are uniquely you, and something I think you should be prepared to concentrate on and exploit. If I can say such a thing that is... Skj.

The first one does it for me too; absolutely gorgeous. Also, it makes the muse look older than I assume she is, but not in a creepy way; which is also a good thing. I concur w/ Skorj San on this & his second point too.

Ta for the tip re storing the goop from the Fuji pack film in the field. For the Polacolor I too use plastic sheets...won't now make the same error you did.

These are beautiful, almost unreal and magical. Ethereal is the word  I think.

You are very kind to say Skoj. I've gone over that again and again in my head and there is nothing I would like more than to accelerate. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to make those wishes come true. I am physically beat up and emotionally wrecked in my everyday life. I simply cannot commit. I am content, however, with the occasional online photography call for work, as well as with publication. That makes me happy, but I'm a mess...and to quote one of my dearest friends, I can't be bothered. Right now anyway...

Thanks so much everybody for your lovely thoughts....
