My Kids Dig Polaroid
« on: June 06, 2009, 09:56:28 PM »
OK, so which kid doesn't like the magic of instant photography? I have an app on my mobile phone which turns it into a live streaming Internet video camera & I've been boring people on Twitter & Facebook with some fairly mundane output over the last few weeks (me stirring a cup of coffee being probably the low point...a drunken me eating a doughnut is probably the highlight)...anyway, today I was lucky enough to catch 'on film' the kids playing with one of the worst cameras that Polaroid ever made. Not quite up to Cameron's standards, but because this is streamed live and then stored there's no opportunity for second takes  ;)

Anyway, if you have 3 minutes to spare these may raise a smile:

Amy & Joe playing with an empty Polaroid Joycam, just pressing the shutter, watching the flash go off etc.:

Amy giving a quick tutorial on how to take a photo & then cock the shutter on the same camera:

You know Ed, Amy is her Daddy's girl...
You both obviously share some Polaroid gene, I think you better lock you Polaroid stash as she would go through it pretty fast :)

So Ed...had to get into this polaroid thing..especially after I got a Polaroid 600 for 25 cents.....This is my question...what would be a respectable price to pay for a pack of 10 polaroid 600 film?  also found a site selling fuji film that fits the polaroid 600..think I will try to find some of it..prolly will be cheaper..any experience with this?

Polaroid film....if you can get in UK for ?20 a pack (of 20) you are doing well.      No idea about outside of the UK.

And before you spend on the fuji,  im 99.99999% sure it wont fit a 600 series polaroid,  if its Instax  then it wont, although it looks a similar size.

Fuji made film that fits in 100 series cameras.    600 series Polaroid cameras only take Polaroid 600 film.

..also agree Ed's kids are uber nice,  then win my praise my generally being cool with me and not crying.   I also dont ever recall them doing their business on me - which seems to be a common theme with friends children when they are babies and me.
