Topic: Time for own projects - Finally!

I admire all of you who post personal projects and am still hoping to find the time for some of my own.  Between family life and commercial photography, I literally have hundreds  of personal rolls developed, but don't have the time to scrutinise or print them. Each year I promise myself to find more time and each year my negatives keep building up and up and up. Guess I'll have "loads" of fun when free time comes around (retirement maybe?) - something to look forward to.

Take it from me, don't let it build up too much or it will become a chore and nothing even close to fun. I hope you're at least scanning a few here and there from what you are scrutinizing right off the negative? I use the PC / scanner as my virtual contact sheets and have a filing system that works OK so far. Anything I scan goes into the folder with the same label as the negative sleeves so I can find it again if needed.

Do look forward to something soon though! Before retirement! LoL

I found a Diana and here are a few from the first two test rolls. What freedom of not having to worry about perfection. You may notice I cropped one of the frames as it just didn't work square for me. I can't believe I took time out from commercial stuff to play. Should fit this in more often.

Yes! You should fit this in more often!! These pictures are GORGEOUS! Seriously. You have the start of a great body of work (& I'm thinking book).

And I agree about the 'freedom of not having to worry about perfection'. That's the way I felt when I first started to play with Polaroid transfers. I thought of it (and still do) as great therapy for anal retentive (obsessive) people like myself. Learning to embrace the imperfections & technical 'accidents' helps create a photographic kismet that has improved my work.

Imperfections in playing with blurry cameras has led me out of my neat freaky past and made me a much better artist.

Thank you very much! I'm back working on commercial stuff at present and hope to have more time later this month.
