Great news. Nicole's postcard arrived in a cold, cold London town yesterday morning. It's beautiful. The global postal system contrived to bend one corner slightly, but it's an honourable wound and in no way takes away from the serene image and the beauty of the silver print. Thanks, Nicole!

I asked my local pro lab how much they'd charge for a bulk run of 5x7 b/w silver hand prints and the price was excellent. GBP32 for 50. I'm picking my 'postcards'upon Tuesday and will mail them out ASAP after that.

Just wanted to let you all knwo that despite my moaning and groaning about having no print facilities it looks like you'll be getting a 'proper' print from me after all.

That was quick Leon - only sent them out on Thursday evening, about 5pm.

I hope you could read the writing. I used a marker cos it was printed on RC paper, but it got pretty smudgy a couple of hours after writing the cards. So then I bought some labels and stuck them over the address section, so at least I could write the address with biro!

sorry to interrupt but I find biro works fine on the back of Ilford RC postcard paper. I've also used cheap&nasty, fountain pen and it seemed to dry okay with normal ink cartridges.

Mine went out in the post today.

I received postcards from Diane and Damion this week.

Diane - love the "old style" hotel sign, these seem to be fading into memory in most towns. The sprocket holes frame the image well.

Damion - first time's the charm with your pola transfer. I love the mystery of the image.

Woot! I got two more postcards in the mail today. Thanks to Rory - lovely print mate, made me very thirsty in the > 35 degree Celsius heat today, and to Damion - also a very beaut one, great to see some Polaroid stuff too! (Mine's a Polaroid as well, but you'll have to wait and see!)

btw - re my note in parenthesis above - wait will probably be the operative word here, sorry. Due to circumstances getting the better of me this month (ie my totally disorganised lifestyle) I most likely won't be able to post mine out until early in Feb, much apologies about that, but hopefully you will like my card when you get it...
