The Falling Soldier - Capa Exhibition
« on: September 21, 2008, 10:37:36 AM »
"40 images taken on the day and being presented at an exhibition next month at London?s Barbican Centre indicate that the photograph was genuine. They were unearthed recently at the International Centre of Photography in New York, which was founded by Cornell, Capa?s brother."

Toot toot!

I already need to get down to London to see Francis Bacon at Tate Britain, Rothko at Tate Modern, and Cold War Modern at the V&A ... now there's another one to add to the list.

Ever considered some kind of informal filmwasters UK meetup? Or is that too much like herding cats?  ;D (no I'm not volunteering to arrange it!)

just a reminder if anyone is close by and hasn't got there yet, the exhibition closes today, and you can still get there if you run....closes 8p.m.
Well worth seeing -
I found Gerda Taro's work striking, at least as worth the effort to get there as to see Capa's; in some ways, it appealed to me more.

I went again on thursday. It is a bit tasty!
I phoned up before I went and asked when there if I could have a poster... no luck.
