Ultra-late submission to Chopper's wedding challenge
« on: August 01, 2008, 05:51:41 PM »
I know, I know, so what's new...  :-[

This was taken on the day of Chopper's wedding, somewhere between Burgau and Praia da Luz (yes, that Praia da Luz), in Portugal. Please feel free to read into it all sorts of symbolism about marriage and the future that wasn't intended when I took the picture!

Thanks Ailsa,

Very profound, and I'm taking it as a good omen for things to come  ;D

Thanks for joining in,

Damn, Ailsa, you're putting myself and Damion to shame with your Uber Slacker turn around times. You're supposed to be a dedicated pro, but maybe you're more 'Ballpark' than I thought. Great. Now there are 3 of us.
 ;D

...but it does give me an opportunity to post a snap on a related theme (the subjects are looking out to sea) that I finally got round to scanning last night. Taken in Folkestone about 4 months ago. Yashica GTN Electro and expired Tasma film. I like it. Not sure why, but I do.

Ed, my gosh man!
I love this!  I think the allure (for me) is the fact that I have no true idea of where the horizon is.

It's brightly mysterious.

And of course you know I have big soft spot in my heart for the Yashica.  I've been carrying mine around a lot lately.

 :)

Ailsa, I really like the window to the sea too.  Since I live in the wide open southwestern USA, wide-open  is my preferred view of the world.

Leon,

Your wedding print arrived this very morning in the postman's hot little hand.
Many thanks for that.
And anyone else who'd like to send me something I will watch out for the postman.

Thanks,
