peter - I very much like the second picture you've posted - the vignette (darkroom/photoshop?) works well with this image  - the off-centre sharpish tree contrasting with the softeness all around it also works well.

Paint Shop Pro - which I use for all my printing.

I was experimenting with a bit of abuse to see what I could come up with and these were a couple of the more succesful outcomes.
