Are there a lot of Xmas decorations?

I'm wondering about something: are there a lot of Christmas decorations where you live?
Today I went to get a bit of meat at a grocery store across the city and one of the things that struck me is how little decorations there is this year.
And when I say little, I mean very little. If we exclude the guy who has a plastic Santa on his balcony 365ΒΌ days a year, we saw maybe 10 places where there was a tiny bit of decoration. And even those places were much less decorated than usual.

What the heck is going on?

I don't know what's going on in Canada, but people here seems to have gone completely bananas. It looks like a fairground, there is no night anymore. I suspect they're spending the money that they couldn't use on vacations abroad this summer. I'd rather they took to the streets protesting against the tyranny that our government is trying to impose while blaming the virus. Trying to impose restrictions on how many people you can have in your own home is a blatant attack on democracy. As for myself I refuse to put up any decorations for this bleak Christmas season.

Here it's just obvious that our provincial government doesn't know what to do and that the hospitals are overcrowded.
But things are definitely a bit sad, especially since there isn't any snow on the ground these days.
