Weekend 27th Nov.
« on: November 27, 2020, 11:34:03 AM »
I sold my Baby Rolleiflex and the guy said it was faulty and sent it back. It wasn't - he just didn't know how to use it.

Makes me think it was meant to stay a while longer even though I haven't used it for sometime. So here's an old one from the Baby to celebrate it's return.

Nice shot, Pete! Try selling it with a user manual next time.  :)

Can you spot the bird?

I once sold a pack of FP-100C, clearly indicating in the description that it is out of date but cold-stored. The buyer filed a complaint saying that it was expired, the evilbay didn't accept my argument that it was CLEARLY IN THE DESCRIPTION and authorized the buyer to send it back. When I received it, the box was opened, AND ONE EXPOSURE WAS REMOVED. So now, at least 2 exposures are ruined. Again the evilbay refused to understand that the buyer RUINED the product and I can't possibly resell it. I SO loved eating that $50 or whatever  ::)

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Plenty of idiots and con artist on eBay.
I've had my fair share of people who didn't understand that international shipping actually takes time. In the end, because shipping is so slow in certain parts of the world, I've had to exclude wide regions in my settings...
I'm really tired of reimbursing people who eventually receive the packages...

Speaking of FP-100C: I got 18 exposures of One Instant by backing the Kickstarter! This one is #17. Shot on a 4x5 (Intrepid) camera.

A couple from a long-ago Thanksgiving weekend, shot with a Mamiya C3 TLR. 135/4.0 outdoors, 80/2.8 indoors.

The "GE Flip Flash" bag was a promo item from the camera department at the membership retailer I worked for. Flip Flash was quite innovative technology at the time (https://www.evilmadscientist.com/2014/flip-flash/), although if memory serves we sold more Vivitar and other 110 cameras with built-in flash.

You fixed my Baby Rolleiflex a few years ago, it still amazes me how smooth it operates now.

I've been working way too much lately, this is the first weekend for a while I don't have any new photos to share so here's an old one from the Baby Rolleiflex.  The film is Konica 160 that expired in 2006.

Hi guys,

great photos everyone. I particularly like the Baby Rolleiflex shot, Pete. :)

Here're two completely unrelated shots, the 6x6 shot with my Lipca Rollop on Bergger Pancro 400, the other one shot with my Canon T90 on Agfa APX 400 (which I find surprisingly nice!). Both developed in Caffenol-C-H (RS), of course. :)

I no longer have my Baby Rolleiflex, but here's a couple of images from 2013 when I took the camera on a trip to York.

The film was Bluefire Murano 160, aka Kodak (old) Portra
