Camera repairs
« on: August 25, 2020, 02:36:03 PM »
I was trying my best to start taking pictures more regularly again.  Picked up my Bessa R3A... it seems as dead as a doornail - fresh batteries and wont advance the winder etc

As a backup  - picked up my Ricoh GR1 - the LCD viewfinder has been dead a while but other than that it worked OK...  well it did..  again  - seems to be dead.  Powers on and seemed to engage the film but thats about it.

The only reliable post i found about Ricoh repairs refers to a company thats now dissolved..

Does anyone have any good leads for UK based companies who might still fix cameras?   Bessa's & Ricohs specifically..

Hi Damion. I tried to PM you but you are set to not receive PMs.

I can maybe help with the Bessa. PM me or use the email on my website (link below).

Good to see that they really stand behind their products.

The only completely reliable unit I have is a home made 4X5 pinhole camera.
On second thought I do have to make sure my film holders are good.
