It's my birthday weekend thread
« on: March 15, 2019, 01:53:03 PM »
Yep I'm peering at 60 not far down the road - Sunday I'm 58, so I aiming to waste lots of film before then.
I'm on a major 5x4 kick at the moment, so first is Forma 100 and the second is trusty Ilford Delta 100 both HC110 (B)

Have a good one Irv :)
I'd send a cake but I'm afraid it would be both late and a bit moldy by the time Canada Post delivers it to the UK :)

Happy birthday Irv! Nice shots!

We've had some decent weather this past couple of days in Philadelphia, and Satish is coming over this weekend to hang out, take pictures and get drunk, so that's good.

Here are two color shots from last year.

First is Provia 100F developed in E6. Shot with the Canon Elan 7 and a 50mm 1.8

Second is Provia 100F, Xpro in C41. Same camera and lens.

Happy Birthday, Irv!

Love that second shot, Miguel.

A couple test shots of my new SLR set-up (haven't had a SLR in a while), Pentax SV with Zeiss Jena 58mm f2.

Happy Birthday! Had I any recent 4x5s to share I would, but I'm afraid you'll have to settle for medium format from a pinhole. Here is a cable car turning around.

Happy Birthday Irv!  The wife and I had enough with the snow so we went to Florida to warm up.  Contax-T with Ektachrome E100.

Somehow, I have a feeling it'd be a really stupid idea to go skinny dipping in that pond.......

Happy Birthday, Irv.

I'd expected to shoot a couple more LF pinholes this past week, but it's been a tad windy out west. Instead I dug out something rare - a night shot!

I took this from my 17th-floor balcony in Kuala Lumpur (where I spent an 'interesting' year) in August 2001.  It was just before I moved to Singapore, at a time when the whole world seemed like a peaceful place - which didn't last, of course.

Nice nightshot, Sandeha!

Bryan: I just processed my first roll in my new-to-me Contax T and I love it! Maybe I'll post one of them in this thread if I get a chance.

grit: I love that pinhole shot. How was the train turning around? It doesn't look like it's simply rounding a corner.

Good eye! Cable cars can't go in reverse, so at the end of the line, there's a rotating wooden platform. The operator gets out and pushes the car to start the platform turning; that's what's going on here. You can see the white circle on the ground marking the edge of the platform.

Don't have anything to share this week. But I hope you had a great Birthday Irv!
Lots of great shots this week. The gators freak me out a little to be honest and the turning cable car messes with my brain. :)
