Just came across this site.  Looks pretty good -- a definite timewaster if not filmwaster!

Oh yes, I did like the look of those Tahbes cameras... thankfully the ones I found on the 'bay were too high a price to be tempting!

Yeah I looked too....
Why is it that all the nice stuff is always so expensive?

Noooooo! This is such a bad site! And worse, it sent me here, which is even worse! http://www.mikeeckman.com/
I didn't know that I didn't know about so many wonderful cameras. Not only have these 2 sites wasted so much of my time today, they are in danger of wasting my bank account, too.
Do have a look at the Mike Eckman site - he not only features lucious film cameras, but uses and rates them too, for things like uniqueness, ergonomics, optics, value & results. He reviews a few cameras I own and several I have been eyeing-up. I really like it when you find a critic/reviewer/fanatic with similar taste. I just wish I had as much time to devote to snapping as he does.

This caught my eye

I really wish I hadn't read that article. That thing is as cool as a G1 or G2 (both of which I've owned and loved) but is smaller and has no auto focus or auto winding to fail. It's just brilliant. I watched someone using one online and it looked a little fiddly, with controls that require fingernails for instance. Perhaps the fiddly nature and requirement for carefulness and dexterity is what's keeping the prices down relative to the T2 and T3? This little camera certainly seems to give up nothing in the image quality department compared to its siblings.

Those Contax sure do look like they are more reliable than the Minox35...

My fingers are not among the smallest, but I find it quite easy to operate focus and aperture rings. After all it's a Zeiss lens. A bit fiddly since the lens is quite small, the trick is to use the thumb and index finger on each side of the flap. The easiest way is to do as the author of this piece suggest, dial in the green marks and leave it there.
The T feels just as solid as the G2. Here's a picture just to add to the GAS.  ;D

It gets worse! From the two sites mentioned, I was sent here... https://www.35mmc.com/
And then there's the Contax thing - I've lusted after one for ages, but price prevented me. But the T, not previously considered, is apparently the 'ideal' travel companion. I dont have one of those. Apart from Mrs Zapsnaps. And a T would be so more discreet on business trips than the 4x5

Discreet is the word and you can add stylish to it. Here's a comparison to a "normal" pocket camera, the Nikon 35TI.

Pretty darn close in size.  I'm planning on taking the Contax T on a trip in a few weeks.

I used to frequent this site. I have it bookmarked for a long time. I contributed an article last year though for 35mmc.
