Weekend 13th-15th April
« on: April 13, 2018, 07:33:53 AM »
I have a day off work and it's raining so I have time to kick off the weekend thread with two images taken with Velvia 50 in a roll film back on an Intrepid 4x5 camera:

Very good choice of film and an interesting way of represent the structure, shape and colour KevinAllan!

With the fridge filled to the brim of undeveloped film, the fuji 210 instant sometimes deliver a kind of relief. I really need to get into the dark and do that job I loath and love, depending on when you ask me.

Happy weekend everyone!

Continuing my "castle ruin series". ;) I took the following shots at the Lauenburg in the Harz Mountains. It's not entirely clear when it was built but it must've been earlier than 1164. It's a ruin today. A lot of the foundation walls have been dug out. Despite being quite a spectacular site, not a lot of tourists find their way here. It's an ideal place for a picnic. :)

Zenza Bronica SQ-A, Zenzanon 80mm f/2.8, Zenzanon 50mm f/3.5, red and orange filter, Fomapan 100 in Caffenol.

Very nice colors! I have a trip to San Francisco for a whole week, this upcoming week and I am taking some Velvia and Provia with me, along with Portra. Hopefully, I'll have time to use them there!

The castles look very nice! Love the contrast.

This one was taken on Velvia 100 last Fall. I used the sharpening function on the scanner, not too bad. I also played with the levels on the EpsonScan software to see if I could get good colors out of it. I should explore those functions a bit more.

This one was on Tmax 100, stand developed in Rodinal 1:100 for one hour. Red filter.

As a geologist I always appreciate photos of rocks Kevin.  cs1, those stacked and cemented rocks look nice as well.

These were taken with my View-Master Personal Stereo camera using Velvia 100.  It can sometimes take me up to a year to shoot 72 stereo pairs on a roll, the first one dates back to last summer.

In Coimbra, Portugal, I tried some sneaky street shots so as to include my shadow.

Yashica Electro 35, Fomapan 100 (asa 400), RO9 1:100, semi-stand 30 minutes.

It's been sometime since I last ventured out with film, but my wife recently picked up an OM1n for me, as my orignal one, was broken and she knew it was a favorite camera on mine.

These were taken in Coventry's War Memorial Park to test the camera out.

APX400 at 400, Rodinal 1:50 for 11 minutes.

Another from the recent roll of TMAX 100. About a year ago, my granddaughter decided that she was "too big to take naps." Oddly, though, she's not immune to the effects of soft grass, warm sun, and a cool, light breeze  :).  Leica M6, Summicron 50.

Even more eclectic mix of stuff than usual this week. Mine are perhaps a bit too conventional for this crowd, but it's what I've got.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

There was no badge on it so I couldn't tell. It was sitting in the backyard of a closed business, looked like somebody had started renovating it. They closed the gates last week so it's no longer accessible. I guess they spotted an old guy with a camera on the surveillance tape and thought: "What the hell? Better get those gates closed!".
