Weekend March 9, 2018
« on: March 09, 2018, 05:12:05 PM »
I'll get the weekend going with a few from my colorful photo essay of Palm Springs.  This first one was shot with a Kodak Medalist using Velvia 50.  The second one was shot with a Contax T using Velvia 100.

I've been shooting a film I received as an extra from Bryan in the "Share the Love" last year. Very nice film, but I expect it has been discontinued as most Fuji film. Anyway, thanks Bryan!  :)

Happy Weekend!

Don't have anything "new", however, these couple of shots were taken last summer.

Kai, that second shot is a great use of color.

Mine is something from a few weeks back.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Nice start with color...I always think I'm going to shoot more color, then find myself always loading the Black and White stuff by habit...
I need to change my ways a bit just because it would be a nice to see something with some punch occasionally.
but not this weekend.

A black and white shot made with my best worst camera...the Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim. I love it and take it everywhere since it lives in my truck.

Becky, you're a magician with those cheap cameras! Wonderful image!

I sometimes wonder, what sort of person goes walking in the rain only to try out a film, pushed two stops?  (The next time that I do this, I will develop for less time.)

A shot from a family trip to Arundel.

Leica M4-P, Summicron 35mm f/2 v4, HP5 @ ISO400 developed in DD-X this weekend.

I am still getting to grips with my new scanning software.

Better late than never. ;)

I shot the following photos with an Exa 1b w/ a Fujinon 55mm f/1.8 lens on Fomapan 400 w/ x2.5 orange filter, developed in Caffenol-C-H (RS). I'm quite happy with the results, the Exa 1b is an odd but likeable camera. Shooting vertically is challenging with the waist level viewfinder.

I have had a funny couple of months. Built up a huge backlog of film to develop, but with work at home, and my other half needing a lot of hospital visits it's gone out of my mind.

Still, great to do some photos last week and had them developed. Nothing spectacular, but it was great to spend a bit of time on myself for a change.

This is actually a film that's been in one of my many Zenits for months. It's winging it's way to another Filmwaster tomorrow, I didn't want to post it without seeing if it worked. Sending a broken camera is just thoughtless.  :)

This is a view from the High Peak Trail in Derbyshire. On the bottom left is Masson Mill, and Matlock Bath.

I have done that walk a thousand times, so rarely take pictures. Still, I liked the rainbow.
