Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, Washington D.C.

Just a short set from Air & Space a couple months ago.

and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Nice shots, I love the look of polished metal in black and white.

Thanks. Polished metal is one of the subjects that I feel is more realistically represented in B&W than in color, at least in terms of visual impact.

I really like these. As mentioned, the polished look to everything is striking. Your view points & framing are also excellent. I always struggle with aircraft in museums because there's usually so much clutter from other exhibits around and about, I find it difficult to exclude it all from the shot.

Thanks, John. Composition is a real problem, especially in very crowded museums like Air & Space. I used a 50 and a 28 for the B&W. Here are the color shots from that trip - these were all shot with a 35 (Flickr seems to be making them look grainier than they are).

These are really great.  What beautiful tones in the B&W shots!

It reminds me of a video I saw:  https://youtu.be/LH_c4qqk2ns

Thanks very much. B&W is more my natural inclination, but it was fun to play with a bit of color in this case.
