As I said, things are coming out faster than I can run.

Ever heard of Silberra films? They're out of Saint-Petersburg and they want to come in the market and fill the space Fuji is leaving open...
They even have their website

I must admit that good news hasn't been popular all over the world for the past few months... especially on the photo front...

They have been hitting it hard on instagram for a while. They have an indigogo campaign for a couple of new emulsions. They have a full line of chemistry and paper as well. I like the look of the sample images they are posting on IG. I might throw some greenbacks their way. It would be nice to have another option.

Ive come to the point where I think people should support any company that isn't Fuji..... Since they don't seem to care anymore about their film users, they probably would be happy to close down the film division ahead of time.

The question I always have is, are they making their own film or is this coming from one of the existing film manufacturers like Ilford or Adox?  Or, is this expired film found in a warehouse somewhere.

Bryan,

They are using modified Agfa emulsions, which gives them the flexibility to have expedited manufacturing and reduced R&D. According to them, the budget from the fundraising will be used to fix a coating machine, buy better coating chemicals and do a bit of automation on their packaging line. Everything else seems to be taken care of.

They also specify on their website that they are starting the R&D for color negative/slide, from scratch, however, they need to find a company that helps them engineer emulsions and coating for this.

Very promising, and their products will most likely be available shortly.

Don't understand why everyone has such a downer on Fuji.  Their mirrorless digital cameras are amazing.
