I'm not sure why, but I find films about Ian Ruhter mind-numbing. Yes, I watched the whole thing.

I'll definitely watch this when I get home.  I just had a brief look at his website and there's a real mixed bag of stuff in there.  I think referring to himself as an "alchemist" is stretching poetic licence a bit, though.

Hi!

I want to learn this process with my Chamonix because I love the wet plate images... but althought the film is interesting and I can understand how difficult is to handle such a big darkslide, the wet plate, etc; what I most like in this film is the lens they used to make the film.
Ah, I didn't know that G. Oldman loves photography! He uses a Speed Graphic!
