I do like those lobster pots, Kevin. On a vaguely related maritime theme, one from the beach in Nice this summer. Leica IIIc, Canon 28/2.8, Portra 400. More in the Photo Essay: http://www.filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=8806.0 .

Lobster pots always seem to make good subjects, but Kevin did a great job with the color. Another gum print from me this week.

Hi!

Hehe, I disagree, lobster pots are fine but I prefer the sadness I see in the portra one ;-)

Another shot with the Pacemaker + Dallmeyer Pentac 8"/2.9 combo:

Graflex Speed Graphic Pacemaker
Pentac 8" f/2.9

Lots of great color to start the weekend so here's some more.  Last month Peter made a very generous offer on some gear so I took him up on an Olympus OM-2n with a Zuiko MC Autozoom f/4 35-70mm lens.  These are from my first roll thru the camera and I must say I'm really liking it.  These were shot on experied Kodak Gold 200 shot at an ISO of 100.

A large Dragonfly in my garden.  I got off one shot with a 21mm extension tube before it flew away.

Again a great start, thanks to everybody.

The old 60s Rokkor 3,5/28 has the least distortion of all 28 mm Rokkor lenses, on Minolta X-500. RR 400s film, IR 720 filter, deved in "Wehner". I hope I can do a shooting with some some kids playing there some day.

I really love Kevin's lobster pots and Bryan's Impalla - Antonio's portrait with the Pacemaker is beautiful (as usual).
Aksel's shots from his own backyard are great - dark and moody !

I have two portraits to share :

all good!
That cliff shot is my fav, wish I could see it in person!

My offering is from a quick Route 66 road trip.
There's an old section of road near where I live that I drive over to from time to time just to see how much the weeds have taken over the old pavement.
I-40 has bypassed this section and if you look, you can see the highway to the right of the frame with the big trucks.

This is facing west and Albuquerque is on the other side of those mountains in the distance.
There's a tree growing in the middle of the old road with a horse off to the left of it.

I don't have a lobster pot, but I have a fish net. Part of my 2-roll experiment using household bleach, detailed in a blog post that I posted in the photo essay forum.

Wow! There really are some lovely photographs this weekend....and by 'lovely' I mean some that I respond to on a "filmwasters.com" level as opposed to noting how in focus a photo is, but not really understanding why the photographer bothered to take it in the first place. It's all subjective, right, but this week's haul definitely has more subjects that connect with me than is often the case here. Outstanding work, people. Thanks.

...and having said that, here are two from me.
