New developments at Walker Cameras!
« on: January 17, 2016, 05:25:50 PM »
Photo friends - Look what has just arrived at Taylor Mansions. Courtesy of Mike Walker from Walker Cameras. It's a lens board with a mount for his famously sharp chemically etched Harman Titan pinholes and allows you to use them on a standard 5x4 camera. There are three focal length pinholes - 72mm, 110mm and 150mm available.

I'll be trying these out over the next week or so then a filmwasters video review will follow. You can find my video reviews of the 5x4 and 8x10 Harman Titan cameras on the podcasts page or on my vimeo page.

I believe they will be available for purchase in a few weeks time

Well, I must definitely say that this is neat!
Definitely looking forward to seeing what comes out of them.

Though I'm surprised to see that he kept the lenscap shutter with a mechanical press fit system. I was thinking he would have gone magnetic.
But a magnetic Mike Walker would be a problem, you know, with keys and such  ::)
Just kidding...

That's interesting!! How will these be mounted?
Now that I have a relatively compact camera on the way to me I'll be eagerly awaiting your review..
Website of sorts, as well as ipernity thing.

Too bad that they don't offer some mount in a standard copal screw mount or something so that they can be put on any camera...

I'll ask, but I'm sure Mike will be able to fit these mounts to any of the usual lens boards. Will get back to you all on that one.

Nice. Will this be an idea for the 45F1 perhaps? :) Im still tempted by pinhole in some LF size. Have my eyes on a 4 1/2 " come for my omega 3d so I can do some enlargements from 4x5"  at last.
