Wish I could put something in.. Been printing for the upcoming exhibition but the prints won't fit my scanner (and I have no reasonable digicam to make a snapshot of them..)

Two shots from last weekend, we reached this spot after about an hours walk in the wilderness. The ice had a lovely greenish hue, and my camera was loaded with B&W..........

Bryan. We went to Costa Rica a few years ago. Superb place. We did a tour from Guanacaste to Tortuguero and pretty well everywhere in between! I'm sure you'll come back with a load of great photos and memories.

I come from Essex. I'd say the stereotypical Essex accent wouldn't make much sound any good at all. Luckily lots of us don't speak like it.

I live in Essex (Braintree) and have done for the last 16 years - but I'm originally from just south of Manchester. When I listened to the link you posted, the first thought that struck me is that you don't have the typical estuarine Essex / East End accent. For your style of poetry / music, I couldn't imagine working anywhere near so well.

Agreed. I'm all in favour of local dialects, mind you. When I was a lad, we had John Cooper-Clarke as our local bard. No-one could mistake he was from Salford / Manchester and his poetry was VERY different

He's a bit of a legend in Colchester. I've never seen him perform live but I've heard a million impressions from friends. I gather that is nearly the same as seeing him nowadays.

Graham Fellows (the guy who plays John Shuttleworth) was also "Jilted John" of "Gordon is a moron" fame. Very funny bloke (in the "ha-ha" sense).

Indeed. I remember Jilted John well. Shuttleworth's attempt to sell his song "pigeons in flight" to Norway for the Eurovision song contest is pure comedy gold.
